LeAnn Rummel, President of Cetera Financial Institutions commented, “In order to gain a more comprehensive understanding of the challenges faced by our advisors, we as a firm decided to undertake the significant investment of both time and money for our Relationship Managers to earn their CWS designation. As advisors are continually tasked with adapting their practices to comply with ever-changing regulatory and technological developments, it’s critical to the delivery of our industry-leading support that we adapt and grow accordingly. We’re proud of the initiative and dedication that our Relationship Managers have demonstrated in earning their CWS, and we look forward to many more opportunities to grow our capacity to serve advisors and their ever-changing needs.”

The Certified Wealth Strategist, established in 2007 by the Cannon Financial Institute, utilizes a blended learning approach that includes instructor-led training, 13 Wealth Management Issues study guides, on-line mastery exams, conversation skill builders and eLessons. The learning experience culminates with a Capstone Project: a written assignment demonstrating a sustainable framework which applies the new knowledge and skills to the practitioner’s business. The program provides the knowledge, the practice management formula, and the critical client interaction skills to create and build a dynamic Wealth Advisory practice that works effectively with complex client issues.

“With the current level of volatility from a regulatory perspective, it’s now more critical than ever that we continue to be creative with ways we can not only support our advisors, but can more deeply relate to their day-to-day practices and needs,” adds Relationship Manager Russ Harton. “Programs like Cannon’s Certified Wealth Strategist designation provide us with platforms to achieve this objective. However, regardless of regulations or technology, client expectations of financial consulting services continue to expand, so we’re proud to be leading the way in order to help our advisors grow value and surpass these expectations.”
