Proceeds Given to Non-Profit Organization Ella’s Kids Inc.

LOS ANGELES, CA – Today Cetera Financial Group* announced that a grant was issued from Caring Cetera to an organization called Ella’s Kids. This Washington, D.C. based non-profit organization works primarily with local families residing in transitional housing to assist them in becoming self-sufficient and successful within the community.Caring Cetera is an advisor initiated nonprofit public benefit corporation (operated as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization) that serves communities where Cetera conferences are held, aids persons living in communities affected by natural disasters and extends timely resources to persons affected by personal tragedy. In the year 2016 alone, Caring Cetera raised nearly $120,000 in total charitable donations for a variety of initiatives.

For its latest initiative, through donations made by advisors, Caring Cetera is championing the cause of Ella’s Kids. With hundreds of families in Washington D.C. alone relying on transitional housing, many of whom having suffered at the hands of gang violence, drugs and imprisoned family members, the services and programs provided by Ella’s Kids are not only crucial to their survival, but offer them greater opportunities to thrive.

The services primarily provided through Ella’s Kids includes character building classes, practical life skills workshops, computer training, and educational assistance. They also partner with other organizations to sponsor and host periodic seminars on topics including domestic violence awareness, sex education and nutrition.

As a direct result of the generous donations given through Caring Cetera, Ella’s Kids was able to purchase 10,050 backpacks, fill them with school supplies, and deliver them to students in need prior to the commencement of the 2017-18 school year.Additionally Ella’s Kids was also able to donate $3,000 to purchase school supplies for a local STEM school whose students primarily come from low-income backgrounds.

Erinn Ford, president of Cetera Advisors LLC said, “Once again, Caring Cetera has demonstrated the immense value we here at Cetera place on serving the greater community. Being given the opportunity to work hand in hand with such incredibly impactful organizations like Ella’s Kids is a true honor, and I couldn’t be more proud of the advisors and staff who work tirelessly to donate their time and money to make a difference. Aside from our industry-leading support and services, our volunteers and philanthropic involvement are what truly makes Cetera stand out.”
