Cetera Appoints Mukesh Mehta Chief Information Officer
Expands Technology Team to Drive Next Generation of Service Capabilites and Advisor Growth
Los Angeles, CA – Cetera Financial Group today announced a significant expansion of its technology leadership team, naming Mukesh Mehta chief information officer and announcing several new executive hires that will help further expand the technology supporting its advisor’s businesses and develop sophisticated new client-facing tools. In his new role as chief information officer, Mr. Mehta will join the company’s executive team and have oversight of all aspects of information technology at Cetera.
The company also announced that Leda Csanka, who previously served as senior vice president and CIO, will move into the newly-created role of chief technology officer and report to Mehta. In her new position, Ms. Csanka will focus on Cetera-affiliated advisors’ interactions with the company’s technologies. Collectively, these moves reflect Cetera’s ongoing commitment to providing industry-leading technology capabilities and an outstanding user experience to its advisors and their clients.
Mr. Mehta brings vast experience in the development and delivery of trading and order management platforms, market data, and middle and back office systems to his role at Cetera. Before joining the company, Mr. Mehta served as managing director and chief information officer, institutional, for TD Ameritrade, where he led application development services supporting all of TD Ameritrade’s institutional business. Prior to that, Mr. Mehta spent nearly a decade at Charles Schwab & Co., where he served in progressively senior technology leadership positions. Most recently, he served as senior vice president & head of IT, Schwab Institutional, Product Development & Technology.

As part of this announcement, Cetera also reported that Mohan Gurupackiam, Derek Gledhill and Sandy Coffey have joined the company’s technology team as vice president, head of applications, delivery & operations; senior director, advisor workstations; and head of IT finance and governance, respectively. Mr. Gurupackiam’s experience includes nearly 14 years at E*Trade Financial Corporation, where he served most recently as director, software engineering. Mr. Gledhill has spent more than 20 years in the financial services industry, and held the position of vice president, broker workstation, advice and wealth management at Ameriprise Financial prior to joining Cetera. Ms. Coffey comes to the company from American Honda Motor Co., where she served as an IT executive for American Honda Finance Corporation / Honda Canada Finance, Inc.
